Ain't she sweet?

For only the third day in at Yankee Candle, I'm doing really well and I'm actually enjoying it. I guess the past 6 years of retail is really coming in handy (ugh). In any case, employees apparently get 50% off wax items. Hello, affordable Christmas gifts! I was really looking forward to getting my first paycheck this week, but I just got into their corporate system yesterday (or some bull crap), so I guess it's not going to work out that way. At least I'll have a nice paycheck by the end of next week. Would rather take it this weekend, though. Money's tight and I don't want to borrow, ahh! I hate borrowing money.

Two things that cause me the greatest amount of stress/make me the most miserable person in the world: money and my sister. The both are vying for #1, but usually its the money issue that I have to deal with most often.

I baked some really tasty cookies on Friday. "Cinna-swirl sugar cookies" or something like that. They are kind of a pain, but I'll probably make them lots more times. And yesterday was my eldest brother's birthday (woohoo, he's 28 now). It was nice that he and everyone else waited until I got home from work to start dinner. We had delicious stuffed shells, salad, and garlic bread. Cheryl, his girlfriend, made a really tasty chocolate guinness cake with bailey's frosting. Mmmm. It had my most favourite kind of frosting ever and I could taste the guinness in the cake, but it was still really good. Normally I dislike chocolate cake, but this was very good. I had some for breakfast. Really need to start going back to the gym...

Mike will be here in... 39 days, I think. Thank goodness! He needs some cheering up. And then after Thanksgiving, just a short month until I'm out there for good! We'll finally be able to get our live together started. It'll be a big adjustment for me, but I'm really excited about it and I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait.
