Poppycock

It's what I'm eating! Yum.

Today has been a long, yet quick day. It started much too early (6:30am) and will probably end a bit later than I'd like.

This morning I completed the medical exam for immigration purposes. My attending physician, Dr. Reznek, asked me about my life, etc etc, and when he asked what my husband did for a living, I gladly told him. And as it turns out, my husband has worked for him before! Such a small world. Of course, he had nothing but rave reviews for the company that Mike works for and that made me very happy. It's a small company, but they DO know what they are doing.

After that, I had about 2.5 hours to kill until I had my hair appointment in Surrey. I headed over to Central City mall and hung out in Zellers for the rest of the time... super lame, I know, but it was wet and cold outside. So I looked at all the merchandise and bought poppycock to snack on. Then I took the bus to meet my mother-in-law as we were going to get our hair done together. We got in at about 4pm and didn't get out of there until 6:30ish. We both got colour, cut, and blowdry :) I love my haircut. It's a tad bit shorter than I wanted, but it'll grow back quick enough. The colour I am digging as well. Now if only I could find my SoftLips lip balm to lessen the chapped redness of my lips :( I just know that as soon as I buy a new one to replace the FULL TUBE I already have, I'll find it. It always works out that way. Sigh.

Anyhoot, after dinner, mominlaw and I went to a Greek restaurant called My Greek Taverna. Amazing food! MM! dadinlaw met up with us and we had a great dinner. We split a 'for two' platter between the three of us and there were still left overs (which are now Mike's!). :D We had a good time.

This week I picked flowers for the kitchen table, baked up some damn fine cinnamon buns from scratch (Thank you, Alton!), went to my very first hockey game, visited some amazing kids, became inspired by Apartment Therapy and gave the bathroom a much needed cleaning.

Stay tuned.
